David Nash, MD, on How Can Clinicians Help Solve Rising Drug Prices?

Many patients already struggle to afford their necessary prescriptions, but the prices of hundreds of drugs — including some generics — are set to rise even higher this year. In a podcast interview with Consultant360, Dr David Nash, founding dean of the Jefferson College of Population Health and chair of the 19th Population Health Colloquium, discusses the patient- and provider-level impact of rising pharmaceutical prices, and outlines steps he says are needed to truly address the issue.

David Nash, MD, MBA, FACP, is the Founding Dean of the Jefferson College of Population Health in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a past member of Consultant’s Editorial Board. He is also the Chair of the upcoming 19th Population Health Colloquium, which will be held March 18 to 20, 2019, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Click here for more information.
